Other than time, what can I lose, I'm not going to buy anything from them and I would estimate that I have about the same, or better, odds of winning as I would have with buying a state lottery “scratch and sniff.”

I procrastinated several times over the next couple of days and very nearly didn't go.
Especially after I received the “invitation” that would get me into the resort.
In the fine print included with this invitation, I read on the back that!
There was “one” $49,000 prize that would be awarded.
There was “ten” $1,500 shopping sprees that would be awarded.
There was “twenty” $500 cash prizes that would be awarded.
There was 53,130 of the “instant gold” scratch and sniff cards issued.

Gathering this information, it is easily determined that there is one grand prize to be awarded, ten second prizes, 53,099 third prizes to be awarded and twenty of the “minimum” prizes to be awarded.
The scam and hook is that the average person receiving this “invitation” is going to look at the “minimum” prize of $500, and generally conclude that.
“Well, I'm going to “at least” receive 500 bucks for taking a couple of hour trip, and listening to a couple of hour sales pitch.”

WRONG!
The “prize” that you are virtually guaranteed to receive is one valued “purportedly” at over 800 bucks.
Hey! That's a good thing.
Until you really consider all the options.
That prize valued at over $800 is in actuality a prize that “IS GOING TO COST YOU,”
Air fare to the islands where you will receive “free” hotel accomodations for five days and four nights.
How much is air fare to Hawaii from where you live?
At least $436 from Houston to Hawaii, which doesn't include “having any fun or seeing any sights while there.
To top that off, you have to pay 100 bucks up front just to confirm the reservations, and $179 per person for government fees and taxes.
So for two people I have to pay “at least” $964, to receive the $806 prize.
In my personal opinion, you haven't received a “prize” when it is something that you have to pay more for than what the prize is actually worth.
And with this, that is exactly what you have to do.
Pay more to actually get the prize than what the prize is actually worth.

I have hotel accomodations for two in Aruba, Oahu, Maui, Montego bay, or San Juan that must be “confirmed” within 60 days, that can be used any time within the next year;
And
I have a 4 night island cruise for two on one of the princess cruises, that must be confirmed in 60 and used within the next year.

I “WILL NOT” be using them.
Anyone interested in a vacation trip to Hawaii for two,
or an island cruise?
Who has the money to fly to Hi in order to get the free hotel accomodations,
or etc.?
I could be easily talked out of these “valuable” vacation packages that “have no names listed on the paper work,” and can thus be transfered to another party.
Or I can use the paper work as a fire starter.
