I'm sure it is frustrating.  I still cannot connect my G4 mini to my TV with a DVI to HDMI cable, although the same mini and cable works on my parents' HDTV.

However, I wanted to point out that you are wasting your energy blaming ATI.  The core duo (and core solo for that matter) use the Intel 950 built-in video, not ATI's chipset.  So, you might want to say "Thanks Intel!" instead.</description>
