Broken 3g Ipod - Looking for a Hard Drive Enclosure
=======Broken 3g Ipod - Looking for a Hard Drive Enclosure
>>>>>>> .r7754I recently broke my 3g Ipod 30 gb after dropping it on a corner on the tile floor in my apartment. I am now looking for an aftermarket enclosure for it. For your guidance - this one does not work. I have seen many people suggesting using it on Ipod lounge and the Apple support website but I havent gotten wind of any enclosures that work with the Ipod harddrive. If you know anything different, please let me know!!!

did you ever find an enclosure? i am also looking. i have found 1.8 cases, but they all seem to be female, rather than the needed male connector.

Hi Colin,
I have two hard drives in my pc.One morning I got up and started the PC and it loaded to my desktop. It was running really slow and the master hard drive was making a noise. The noise did stop but still wouldn’t load everthing.I have everything backed up on the second hard drive.I went and bought another 80 gb hard drive and replaced the bad one. When I installed it,it is showing up as it is only a one gb hard drive and the second one hard drive shows up but says it needs formatted. Can you help?

Bob, it sounds like your partition table is damaged on the second hard drive, and possibly your new harddrive could be too new for your system. There really isnt enough information in your message in order to accurately determine what is wrong. Im guessing a data recovery tool will help you get your files off the old harddrive. You can always try seeing if booting “Knoppix” will allow you to load up those harddrives. Good luck!
