		<description>The big problem with Bartlett's argument (Arithmetic, Population and Energy) is that population grows exponentially (at a constant rate). Bartlett's use of the Rule of 70 (divide the growth rate into 70 to get the doubling period) only adds to this fiction.

It's just not true. Population grows via variable rate compound interest.
